  TEMPLE OF THE PLUMED SERPENT

eotihuacan was a prominent ritual center and the site of the monumental Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. The rain god Tlaloc is featured in the art of Teotihuacan, as is the deity Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent. The façade of the Temple of the Plumed Serpent is arranged in geometric harmony; heads of the Plumed Serpent alternate with goggle-eyed masks of the Rain God.
